男子盗窃银行卡狂购物被抓后“痛诉”家庭悲剧

据信使邮报报道，一名昆州男子多次闯入汽车盗窃借记卡、钱和电子产品，并使用盗窃的借记卡挥霍了数百澳元。周三（7月15日）他被法庭宣判有罪。

法院获悉，31岁的Brett Michael Laycock以前的工作是修建屋顶。他在2020年3月16日至6月6日之间在Oxley和Inala多次撬开汽车盗窃财物，并用偷来的借记卡积购买食品、烟草、电子产品、游戏机和支付出租车费。

7月6日，警察看到 Laycock手持一把大刀行走时将其逮捕，并指控其拥有盗窃来的财产、欺诈、拥有武器等一系列罪名。

Laycock周三在法庭上承认有罪。他描述了失去父亲后的情感创伤以及与前伴侣的紧张关系并流下了眼泪。“3年前我失去了父亲，他是我生命中的榜样……我失去自己的内心。”

他说随后他求助于毒品。“从那以后，我转向了歧途，就再也没有回头。”

Laycock表示，虽然很难，但他会努力在布里斯班找工作，他想为自己的小孩子做出更好的榜样。

地方法院法官Aaron Simpson判处Laycock四个月的密集改正令，并命令归还所盗财产。
