據21世紀經濟報導，金融服務機構The Motley Fool7月7日提供數據顯示，巴菲特所持的蘋果公司的股票價值已經飆升至910億美元以上，占巴菲特控股的集團公司伯克希爾哈撒韋整個股票投資組合的43%，創下歷史新高。

據騰訊科技5月16日引述外媒的統計，巴菲特的伯克希爾哈撒韋公司在今年第一季度購買了蘋果公司148億美元股票，5月份又買入了大約7500萬股蘋果股票，大幅提高了占股比例。在大量買入蘋果股票後，伯克希爾哈撒韋目前持有蘋果公司2.45億股，持股比例達5.5%，成為蘋果的第二大股東，超越了投資公司黑石集團，只落後於先鋒集團（Vanguard Group）。

另據新浪財經報導，巴菲特曾公開對蘋果公司大加讚揚，稱蘋果是他最喜歡的公司，令人」難以置信」，他認為蘋果的賺錢能力獨一無二，甚至是第二名的兩倍。巴菲特表示，他很喜歡蘋果的業績表現，也很喜歡他們管理的思維方式。他希望擁有更多的蘋果股票，並且還透露伯克希爾哈撒韋未來將提高對蘋果投資的比例，甚至表態如果可以的話，自己願意擁有「百分之百的蘋果股份」。
