在澳洲海外出生人口最多的國家排名中，印度以微弱優勢超越英國，躍居首位。

澳洲統計局（ABS）最新數據顯示，印度出生的居民人數已達971,020人，在880萬海外出生人口中佔有重要比例；而英國出生的人口為970,950人。

澳洲統計局指出，去年澳洲人口的出生地幾乎涵蓋全球各國。

在2015年至2025年的十年間，印度出生人口的增長幅度最大，增加超過50萬人。

同一時期的數據顯示，印度、中國、菲律賓和尼泊爾位列出生地前四名，這四國合計人口增長超過100萬人。
