周二（1月20日）上午，一輛小汽車在平交道口被一列貨運火車撞擊，造成2人死亡。

接到火車與汽車相撞的報告後，緊急救援人員趕赴位於克雷西（Cressy）的雷迪斯路（Reddies Road），該地在墨爾本以西約140公里。

車內2人當場死亡，身份尚未正式確認。火車司機及車上另2名工作人員倖存。

維州警方表示，事故詳情尚未確定，相關原因仍在調查之中。
